When it comes to headshots, there are two main different styles: solid background {studio style} or natural background {outdoors, in office, on location}. Which style is right for you? Well, this is mainly personal preference or what your company may require. I LOVE natural. I think people tend to glow more, feel more relaxed and comfortable, as well as just look better in natural lighting and settings. Both styles are used often, and both styles are completely acceptable on all platforms. 

When thinking about your headshots, besides figuring out which style you prefer, there is also the choices of what to wear, where to shoot at, and where to use your images once finishing. This leads into branding.
